Mickey/mojo62 any band that has this much fun making video's and playing music is amazing lol let alone the writing . bass. vocals and the whole Red Fang package of riffs and sounds, as a bass player my self .. its about the music man,. always about the music. they make beautiful music. to be honest how do you pick a fav on this cd? Favorite track: The Undertow.

dharmalogos If Mastodon had super catchy hooks, if Priestess wrote more complex songs, if Sleep sped up the tempo and shortened the songs, then they might sound something like Red Fang. For me this album is the archetype of sludge, stoner, and doom distilled into tightly written and irresistibly catchy songs. I can't really compare this to other bands because other bands should be compared to this. This is my new standard.

Marcin Wielewski Nevermind the genre, Red Fang sneaks out normal labels. Best kick ass, played forward, sick and raw rockers. Favorite track: Dirt Wizard.

Malverde 04:02
I've been runnin' with the gone right people we'll be coming for you I've been dying with the unclean people I know that what will she do now that she don't love you That's the trick, that's the trick I can't believe that you're falling for it That's the fear, feel it grow shatters the ground as it comes from below Thousand miles to go Now you've got to go Thousand miles to go for you Thousand miles to go Now you've got to go Thousand miles to go What will she do now that she don't love you That's the trick, that's the trick I can't believe that you're falling for it That's the fear, feel it grow shatters the ground as it comes from below That's the trick, that's the trick, that's the trick, that's the trick That's the trick, that's the trick I can't believe that you're falling for it That's the fear, feel it grow shatters the ground as it comes from below That's the trick, that's the trick, that's the trick, that's the trick

Wires 05:43 video
Kid, don't lose your cool, it's still too soon to have to choose a brighter doom It's hard to believe, but I can see how there could be so little left to lose (cracking open skulls like cans of beans on Christmas Eve) Mama's not okay, she lights a candle for ev'ry day that you're away Today could be the one she burns the motherfucker down her final act of grace In an endless, pointless race Kid, you're under fire, your life is coming down to the wire Maybe you'll take the Captain's hand, carry his ship through burning sands Cradle your rifle like a man Mama says "No way," she's lost it all, you've got to stay to make her pay She knows the fiend upon the throne's a goddam sucker for the stone Until the day he dies alone Succumb....

Burn the flesh that had long been rotten He is gone, but he's not forgotten Save his name, but don't replace The time you spent to make his place He's the only one to keep alive Here they come again With their bloodshot eyes Leave the promised land Shed your earthly skin Left alone in a tiny capsule He's the king of an empty castle Went away to fill a grave And made you stay a human slave Never got to meet the son of mine Here they come again With their bloodshot eyes Leave the promise land Shed your earthly skin

Dirt Wizard 02:57
its alright i know there's no place to go put gas on the fire cause i like it that way things all seem the same nothing seems to change turn on my friends until none remain ramble on, on and on back to the where shadow's gone oh yeah oh yeah ramble on, on and on back to when my life ain't wrong oh yeah oh yeah we're all lost at sea and'll soon cease to be i love the way that you shut me out you just seems so tired why not rest awhile? just shut your eyes and i'll gouge them out ramble on, on and on back to the where shadow's gone oh yeah oh yeah ramble on, on and on back to when my life ain't wrong oh yeah oh yeah

Throw Up 06:33
If it's blood that you need to make the pills go down, I will spill the blood If the flies that you eat are tasting twice as sweet, they came from rotting meat If the skin on your teeth is drawing thin like a leaf, and you are feeling weak You can thank me [CHORUS:] You say what you gotta say, I know Feel the pain that you feel today, I know It's a puzzle that we figure out Take the hate and you spit it out Take what's left and you let it in, let it in Now the scum from the creek is filling up your cheeks, and you can hardly speak While the bones in your brain grind themselves away, they will make you sane If the steps of your path reflect your building wrath, they will be your last And you can thank me [CHORUS] Got all the symptoms of decay You see disease and look away Begin the swarming from the caves Burning the fields of amber waves Raising the dead up from the grave Amass an army of rotting slaves
6.
Painted parade, a slave to the trade, can't sleep in the bed that you've made Daddy was wrong, you could have been strong, but you've been alone far too long You'll never be pure, yes madam, yes sir you've always obeyed, to be sure Feet to the fire, they call you a liar this cannot be what you desire Council the weak, they think you're a freak, a future that's hopelessly bleak Confused by success, your life is a mess, yet they can convince you you're blessed Don't come with me, I won't set you free, 'cause that's not where you need to be And no, I'm not confused, although you're abused, I see it's this life that you choose Painted parade, a slave to the trade, can't sleep in the bed that you've made Daddy was wrong, you could have been strong, but you've been alone far too long You'll never be pure, yes madam, yes sir you've always obeyed, to be sure Feet to the fire, they call you a liar this cannot be what you want

I can brave the cold alone I'm sleeping on the ground I hate your golden throne But want it for my own I see that I'm the one Who's breakin us in two How could this be the end? [CHORUS:] You're my, you're my Number Thirteen You're my, you're my Loss of control You're my, you're my Everything You're my, you're my... Rake our nose across the stone We're never leaving home We're headed to the West Beyone the dying breath Our boots will scratch and scrape But we cannot escape We're running to our fate [CHORUS] I know the fields are burnin' Blacks out the cruelest dawn I hear the God's a-screamin' The war goes on and on I can brave the cold alone I'm sleeping underground I've made your golden throne But want it for my own I see that I'm the one Who's breakin' us in two How could this be the end? [CHORUS]
8.
Into the Eye 03:58
I don't like what I'm feelin' and I'm falling apart Your floor is my ceiling until I can't see your face any more. You rise high above me and signal the end the mirror ignores me and now I just want this day to end. We got hell, we need seed see the light when you drink what i bleed we got gods, that you know now in darkness our numbers will grow The days pass unending a scratch at the door I just keep pretending that I can't see your face anymore Their eyes are upon me I've been chased to the end They draw me in slowly Until I don't have a face anymore We got hell, we got seed See the light when you drink what I bleed There you are, bent so low In our arms now we reap what we sow There was no need to worry My soul is a star They always surround me and now I can't see your face anymore [x5]
9.
The Undertow 05:02
Cold swells below now it's all he knows Don't fight the water, the undertow Can't save his daughter, and down she goes She calls to him and slips below She calls to him He has no answer for all her pain Something is growing inside her brain Can't dry her eyes for the pouring rain Watching her die made him insane Made him insane
10.
Human Herd 03:51
We've set our minds to taking the babe from your arms Our greatest fear is never to bring him to harm It's hard to see his flowing, golden hair For the light that's blinding us with market share [CHORUS:] You can't protect him from his life We'll find a way to make you lie He'll be with us and never die This is the end and you know why Out to the water you let us hold him down They never struggle when they want to drown They take so much from us without a word Just a little thing we ask from the human herd [CHORUS x2]

about

RED FANG deals in kick-ass heavy rock. On their Chris Funk (DECEMBERISTS) produced, Vance Powell (KINGS OF LEON, WHITE STRIPES, RACONTEURS) mixed Relapse debut Murder the Mountains, the quartet waves a middle finger at fashion and bet the proverbial house on substance over style. The incredible “Wires”, “Number Thirteen”, "Hank Is Dead", and "The Undertow" are just a few of an onslaught of highlights on this front-to-back set of great f%$king songs.

about

Red Fang Portland, Oregon

Ever since their inception, RED FANG have strived to write heavy, catchy music underlaid with subtle complexities. Founded in 2005, the band had a distinctive and fully-formed sound right from the start: a mix of compelling rock songwriting and party-hard metal euphoria that speaks to the headbanger, the hesher, and the music student alike. ... more
